Bundling Can Be Key to Lower Phone Bills
Bundling appears to be gaining popularity among phone customers. With bundling, a customer's phone service, cable service, and possibly Internet service are all bundled together, with one company providing it all. And a growing number of consumers are finding that such bundling can save them a substantial amount of money, both in the short-term and the long-term.
Interestingly enough, a study by the Leichtman Research Group, also known as LRG, found that a whopping 43 percent of customers say they currently bundle their phone, television, or Internet services. This figure represents a ten percent increase over the previous year's rate. Not only is bundling a money-saver, it's also quite convenient, since it means that you only have one bill to keep track of.
It should be noted that some companies also feature wireless phone service as part of a residential plan which may include unlimited long distance calling.
In a typical bundling plan, a consumer may receive unlimited local and domestic direct-dialed long distance calling, in addition to a number of special phone features such as call waiting and call forwarding. The wireless portion of the plan may include hundreds of anytime minutes, a number of rollover minutes, and unlimited cell phone-to-cell phone minutes.
In addition, the customer may be able to obtain dozens of popular cable channels, free DVR, and high speed Internet. With bundling, customers can receive an entire communications/entertainment package for less than $150-a real bargain in today's high-tech world.
Bundling can be particularly appealing to people who have a fixed income or who have a limited budget. As a result of bundling, consumers may be able to obtain communications and entertainment services that they would not have access to otherwise.
It's therefore not surprising that bundling can be quite appealing from both a cost standpoint and a quality-of-life viewpoint.
